NO EYES ELEVEN HEARTS CAN'T LOSE

Campos Arias

  • Fandom: Blaseball
  • Teams: 👐 🌹
  • Status: Nullified
  • Pronouns: She/her
  • Species: Human
  • Relationships: Kathy Mathews (partner), Lowe Forbes (nuisance)

Appearance: appears as a human Latina woman in her 30's, except for her lack of eyes. She has powers of telekinesis and levitation, plus a large and varying number of hearts (currently 11, one in the possession of Kathy Mathews). Notable physical features include her long hair, which has the tendancy to billow in an unseen breeze, and her glasses, which she wears for reasons best known to herself.

Personality: in a word, busy. Despite attending #PARTYTIME 11 times, Campos has never been observed partying and is happiest when completing a schedule anyone else would find inhuman. A natural performer both on a blaseball pitch and in her main career as a professional singer, she thrives in the centre of attention.

History: Campos trained as an opera singer but branched out into other genres of music, rising to fame due to her incredible stage presence and power of levitation as well as her voice. She joined blaseball as a pitcher for the Breckenridge Jazz Hands in season β1 to fill her time in between concerts.

Originally a one-star pitcher, she surprised fans with a 20-inning duel against the 5-star Polkadot Patterson, a feat of endurance which was discovered to be due to her (at the time) eight hearts. While the version of Campos who originated in our universe remained a below-average pitcher with flashes of brilliance, in the season β4 elections she was replaced by a version of herself who had acquired ten hearts, radically improving her pitching. An unexpected bonus was her romantic relationship with the alternate version of Kathy Mathews, who was pulled from the same universe.

After peaking in season β6 with the first known perfect season in blaseball (gaining her eleventh heart in the process), Campos' refusal to party led to her skill flatlining over the following 12 seasons. She was shadowed in season β18 following a disastrous hitting career and spent the next decade on world tour as a singer. She returned to blaseball as a pitcher for the Boston Flowers in seasons β23 and β24 thanks to a run in with the Flowers' Thieves Guild. She was last seen entering the Vault with the Flowers at the end of season β24, and has not yet emerged from the Black Hole.
